About CabinBagFinder

How a bag is checked

Every airline publishes a sizer: the box your bag has to fit in. We compare the bag's three sides with the sizer's three sides, in any orientation, just like at the gate.

A soft bag that is at most 2 cm too deep is marked “fits if not overstuffed”. A hard shell, or a bag too tall or too wide, does not fit. Flying several airlines? The bag has to pass the strictest one.

Where the data comes from

Airline limits come from their official pages, and bag sizes from the brands' product pages. Each entry shows its source and the date it was checked. Doubtful data is left out rather than shown.

Rules change: always double-check on your airline's site before flying.

Independent rankings

No brand pays to be listed or ranked higher. Links to brands and shops are there to save you a search, and a bag that doesn't fit is never shown as fitting.
